COMPETITOR INFORMATION

Everything you need before you step on the mat.

Start here for format, weigh-ins, experience levels, attire, and the rules that keep competition fair.

THE FORMAT

Submission-focused. Round robin.

There are no points scored inside a match. A submission win earns 3 bracket points, a draw earns 1 point for each competitor, and a loss earns 0. Podium placement is determined after the bracket is complete.

Youth competitor safety

We discourage weight cutting for children. Youth brackets are formed using current weight, age, and experience, generally keeping athletes within roughly 10% of body weight and two years of age when possible.
