OUR HISTORY

Built in Washington. Proven over time.

Proving Grounds has given Pacific Northwest athletes a local place to test their skills for more than a decade.

THE REASON

A tournament made for the people on the mat.

Proving Grounds began with a simple idea: provide Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission-grappling athletes with an organized, respectful place to test what they have learned.

Three events each year keep the opportunity local and consistent. Kids, teens, adults, first-time competitors, and seasoned grapplers all share the same standard—real effort, clear rules, and respect for the sport.

The death of your perception.

Proving Grounds was created to give Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission-grappling athletes a safe, fair venue to test and showcase their skills while raising public awareness of the art. We believe in “no points and no excuses,” with the goal of becoming the home of the best submission finishers.

More matches. More learning. Round robin all day.
